The London South Bank University (LSBU), is a public academic and research university in the UK, located at Southwark, near the south bank of River Thames, London. It was established in 1892 formerly called the Borough Polytechnic Institute and received University status in 1992. was named London South Bank University in 1992. In September 2003, the University underwent its most recent name change to become London South Bank University and has since then opened several new centres, this includes the School of Health and Social Care, the Centre for Efficient and Renewable Energy in Buildings (CEREB), a new Student Centre, an Enterprise Centre as well as a new media centre Elephant Studios. It ranks among the top London Universities and among the top 100 universities in the UK. The university pays importance to practical education and employability and has a global alumni network of approximately 80,000. University of South Bank comes in the list for top 10 London universities in London for graduates in terms of starting salaries, and it also bagged the maximum possible rating for the excellence of its education from the sovereign Quality Assurance Agency. LSBU received a Silver in Teaching Excellence Framework, it caters to over 17000 students. In November 2016, the university was named the Entrepreneurial University of the Year as per the Times Higher Education Awards.

The London South Bank University offers undergraduate, postgraduate, research, doctorate programs, CPD and short courses.
