About Brunel University London

The Brunel University London (BUL), is a public academic and research university in the UK, located at Uxbridge, north-west London. Established in 1966 it was among the British ‘plate glass universities’ that gained university status in the 1960s. The University ranks among the top 60 in the UK and among the top 400 worldwide. It is a recipient of the Queen’s Anniversary Award. The Brunel University London comprises of 3 colleges and 3 research institutions. The Brunel campus is in Uxbridge, London Uxbridge and has easy access to transportation with a major motorway nearby. They provide a Sports Performance Programme for 6 competitive sports at the Indoor Athletic Centre. Active@Brunel offers access to non-competitive sports classes.

The Brunel Library is located at the Bannerman Building. They have 4 separate floors dedicated to the extensive resources and individual or group study spaces. LibSmart is Brunel’s Digital and Information Literacy Programme. LibGuides helps navigate their online library and learning database. 

Students’ Union and Student Life

Brunel University London’s student union is called the Union of Brunel Students, and is located at the Hamilton Centre. They run the on campus nightclub called Venue and Loco’s bar. The student-run university newspaper is called Le Nurb. Brunel students are also known to win in the Formula Students Engineering Global Competition, with racing cars manufactured by them.
