About Ulster University

Ulster University is located in the heart of Northern Ireland, with four diverse campuses throughout the province. It is referred to informally as Ulster, or sometimes by the abbreviation UU. It is the largest university located in Northern Ireland and also the second-largest university in Ireland, coming after federal National University of Ireland. Ulster University was established in the year 1968 as the New University of Ulster, it later merged with Ulster Polytechnic in the year 1984, thus incorporating the four Northern Irish campuses under the banner of University of Ulster.
