About Ulster University

Ulster University is located in the heart of Northern Ireland, with four diverse campuses throughout the province. It is referred to informally as Ulster, or sometimes by the abbreviation UU. It is the largest university located in Northern Ireland and also the second-largest university in Ireland, coming after federal National University of Ireland. Ulster University was established in the year 1968 as the New University of Ulster, it later merged with Ulster Polytechnic in the year 1984, thus incorporating the four Northern Irish campuses under the banner of University of Ulster. Campus and facilities at Ulster University

Ulster University has four major campuses called Belfast, Jordanstown, Coleraine and Magee, and two small campuses in Birmingham and London. The Belfast campus is a significant part of the city’s vivacious Cathedral Quarter as well as the city’s robust cultural centre. Ulster University recently opened up a new GBP 11 million worth teaching block at its Magee campus. Omid Djalili is a British-Iranian stand-up comedian and actor. He is also a television producer and writer. Djalili has won many awards, these include EMMA Award, Time Out Award, the LWT Comedy Award for Best Stand-up Comedian and the Spirit of the Fringe Award. He also won the One World Media Award for a Channel 4 documentary titled ‘Bloody Foreigners’.
