About Richmond University

Established in 1972, Richmond University is a one of its kind London-based University that offers time-honored education in American Liberal Arts. In the whole of the United Kingdom, only Richmond University provides ‘dually accredited degrees’ that grants global recognition to its students from virtually 100 countries that are presently enrolled. The University is based in West London and has two campuses in Richmond Hill and close to Kensington High Street. Since the year 1981, the Richmond University has been awarding US Degrees that are accredited by The Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Richmond University offers a wide range of majors and minors at undergraduate level in business, economics, political science, international relations, media, the arts and humanities. Most degrees are four-years long though some may be completed earlier through transfer credits from US Advanced Placement classes, UK A and AS Levels, the International Baccalaureate and other similar qualifications. All undergraduate programmes at Richmond follow a broad, US liberal arts approach to education, this is combined with the British system of specialisation. In addition to this, the University offers a range of postgraduate degrees including Master of Business Administration (MBA), Luxury Brand Management, International Relations, Art History & Visual Culture and Advertising & Public Relations. The university is the first and the only university in the UK that has been granted the power to award dual taught degrees, this means students will receive a UK as well as a US degree. Richmond University has two campuses situated in two of London’s highly revered locations. First year, second year as well as foundation students are required to be at the Richmond Campus.
